SITE Thailand announced it's pledge to be a certified Sustainable Chapter by the end of 2021. This mission is championed by our Sustainability Ambassadors, Ms. ChooLeng Goh and Mr. Thanaos Economou who are both part of our Board of Directors. This certification will involve completing a number of tasks and missions outlined by SITE Global, most of which are based on the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). This pledge kicked off on Earth Day 2021 on April 22 with members planting greenery in their personal space and contributing to the United Nation's Canopy Project to help plant trees.

SITE Global's Sustainability declaration was made at the 2019 SITE Global Conference in Bangkok dubbed the "Bangkok Manifesto".
It’s Our Responsibility
Sustainability is one of the cores of Thailand’s Meetings and Incentives Industry. For the young leaders and their successful pathway, the M&I Sustainability Advocate Project encourages students to extend their experience from their classrooms to a significant vocation process by coaching special skills, sharing various case studies, and providing the best support for achieving this programme’s objectives.

In addition, this forum will encourage students to effectuate sustainable ideas for the Meetings and Incentives scheme by utilising a canvas model. Through this process, students will be given access to select training opportunities with experts in the M&I field.

And at the end of the process, the programme has special recognitions for teams who come up with outstanding ideas in various aspects. All participants will be certified as ‘SITE Thailand M&I Sustainability Young Ambassador’. Students’ profiles will be circulated to corporates, Meetings and Incentives companies for the possibility of taking-up traineeships.
