Choo Leng is responsible for operations of The Athenee Hotel, with 374 rooms and suites as well as 30 meeting and event venues, making this property a significant player in the luxury hotel space and established Forbes Four-Star Award winner. 


With coaching, leadership and her passion for sustainability as core skills, she oversaw the recognition of The Athenee Hotel as the world’s first hotel to be accredited with ISO: 20121 for sustainable events. Since then, her drive for sustainability has led to the implementation of a comprehensive food waste management system resulting in the hotels largest restaurant Rain Tree Café, to be the first in the world to achieve 100% ‘All-Star’ for The PLEDGE on Food Waste, a third party audited accreditation to reduce food waste. She also introduced the purchasing of organic products direct from farmers to support the local community.

 
Choo Leng graduated from Ecole des Roches, Crans-Montana, Switzerland and as an experienced hotelier; she has worked across multiple disciplines and in various roles ranging from Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, to her current role as General Manager.


Apart from managing the hotel, Choo Leng is also the Co-Chairperson of Services Development of Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA) and serve as a Board of Director for SITE she supports the development of relevant curriculum and marketing activities for the association.
